VIDEO : Contraception >IUD
IUD stands for intrauterine device. It is a form of long term birth control that can last up to twelve (12) years. How does an IUD work? The IUD is T–shaped, made of flexible plastic, and is inserted into a woman’s uterus to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
This form of contraception does not protect against STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), so please use a condom in addition to an IUD if this is a concern for you and your partner.
